Campus Safety Measures

Engineering colleges require a robust framework for safety, security, disaster preparedness, and environmental sustainability. These measures safeguard students, faculty, staff, and infrastructure while promoting a responsible and eco-friendly learning environment. The following are the measures captivating at AITAM campus:

General Safety Infrastructure:
  1. Barrier free and well-lit walkways, staircases, and corridors.
  2. Proper ventilation in all classrooms and labs.
  3. Anti-slip flooring in appropriate places.
  4. Routine inspection of campus buildings for structural integrity.
Health & First Aid Safety:
  • First aid kits in every block, lab, workshop, and bus.
  • Well-equipped first-aid room with a doctor and trained medical assistant.
  • Tie-up with nearby hospitals for emergency medical support.
  • Regular medical camps: eyesight, dental, general health, and vaccination drives.
  • Awareness sessions on hygiene, communicable diseases, and personal health.
Laboratory & Workshop Safety:
  • Mandatory PPE: lab coats, gloves etc.
  • SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) displayed for all experiments.
  • Lab equipment inspection and calibration at regular intervals.
  • Strict chemical storage and waste segregation.
