AITAM has an independent Department of Training and Placement Cell, committed to provide all possible assistance to its students and also to meet the needs of organizations.

      Visionary Management has taken a right decision in right time to establish a separate Training and Placement Department in 2005. This may be the first college in its age-group in AP to take such a revolutionary decision. Today many colleges are following this plan. That is what it happens with the leaders. This shows the management commitment towards life and careers of its college students.

OBJECTIVES:

• Department provides necessary training to impart employability skills to its students.
• Department provides necessary arrangements for company visits.
• Department ensures the students to secure placements.
• Department makes the students to feel comfortable to face several competitive examinations with confidence and competence.
• Department is instrumental in entering into MOU’s with reputed companies.

      To accomplish these objectives, Department has an exclusive set up with a built up area of 17,000 Sqft and is furnished with all the state of the art facilities like 30 seat conference hall, 250 seat a/c seminar hall, 2 exclusive rooms for group discussion and 4 exclusive interview rooms. Department office is equipped with laptops, desktops and laser printers. Department also has a computer lab, equipped with dedicated 66 higher end systems and necessary audio visual systems like LED TVs etc., to shape the career goals of the students.

      At the outset, a senior Soft Skills professional was appointed with a great package in 2005. Then onwards, slowly but surely a separate placement Training Team was built. Today Department has nine full time dedicated staff members covering all the required aspects of recruitment process by any IT or non-IT companies.

      Employability skill training starts from 2nd year onwards for all the branches in the college. The training modules cover Aptitude, Technical, Objective general English and Soft Skills (in the areas of Corporate Culture Team Work, Leadership Skills, Creative Thinking, Motivation Mind-Set Management, Resume Writing, Group Discussions and Interview facing techniques etc.).

      Apart from the regular syllabus oriented training classes, Department conducts special training classes whenever there is a Placement Drive by any IT or Non-IT Company to increase the number in selection.

      Department also has MoU’s with reputed corporate giants like Infosys (Campus Connect), Wipro (Mission 10x), Microsoft (Innovation Center) and TCS (TCS-iON). Infosys Campus Connect program enables the students to hone their soft skills to meet the industry needs. Wipro Mission 10X is aimed at enriching teaching capabilities of upcoming faculty members.

      A high level combination of planning, coordination and team work is the secret of Department's success. In fact, Department of Training and Placement Cell is the strategic tool for AITAM College in building up a strong Brand Image.
